The Evidence Detection Vehicle is a mobile crime lab, which enables trained investigators to respond to all types of crime and detect, collect, and preserve evidence needed for criminal prosecution. The Evidence Detection Vehicle is used in all major crimes where evidence processing is necessary.
The vehicle is equipped with over 25 specialized evidence collection field kits that incorporate the latest processes for locating, identifying, and preserving prima facie evidence. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with a 6,500 watt generator, a refrigerator, sink, locking evidence storage cabinets, a report writing desk, telescoping 500 watt floodlights, evidence examination worktop area, cameras, evidence vacuum, ladder, and other assorted tools and collection materials.

Some of the evidence collection kits include a crime scene sketch, mapping, latent print, silicone rubber and plaster casting, tool mark identification, blood test, trace metal detection, gunpowder, narcotics analysis, number restoration, ultraviolet, postmortem fingerprint, and sex crimes investigation.
