The Motorcycle Section of the Special Enforcement Unit has a primary function of enforcing traffic laws. The unit fulfills its mission by conducting both stationary and moving motor patrol and uses the latest radar and laser technology for speed detection and enforcement. The motorcycle section utilizes motorcycles as their primary mode of transportation, weather permitting. Duties include selective criminal, and traffic enforcement, and traffic direction and control. Additional duties of the unit include:

The Section is made up of 4 Patrolman First Class officers, supervised by a Corporal. Each officer is assigned a 2004 Harley-Davidson FLHTPI Police Motorcycle. Although the section operates year-round, regular patrol cars are used during inclement weather.
