Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that damaged a vehicle late Thursday night. The investigation began at 11:16 p.m., when Dover Police Department was notified of a shooting in the 200 block of South DuPont Highway. Officers responded and made contact with the victim, a 34-year-old male of Dover. The ensuing investigation revealed the victim was driving Northbound on South DuPont Highway in the area of Public Safety Boulevard when his vehicle was shot by an unknown suspect. Thankfully, the victim was not injured as a result of this shooting. There are no leads to release at this time.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a 15-year-old male of Dover injured Thursday afternoon. The investigation began at 3:02 p.m. when Officers responded to the unit block of Par Haven Drive for the report of a shooting. The ensuing investigation revealed the 15-year-old male was shot in the upper body while inside of a vehicle on Par Haven Drive. The victim was transported to the hospital by a personal vehicle for treatment. His injury was non-life-threatening. The victim was uncooperative with the Detectives and there are no leads at this time. An occupied apartment was also shot during this incident. Thankfully, no injuries occurred inside this apartment.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at Brookdale Assisted Living overnight Wednesday. The investigation began at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, when Dover Police Department responded to the facility for the report of a burglary. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the victim. The ensuing investigation revealed that the victim’s apartment is currently being renovated, and sometime overnight Wednesday into Thursday, an unknown suspect broke in by forcing entry through a window. Once inside, the suspect removed property belonging to the victim and left.

There are no leads to release at this time.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Anthony Simpson, 36, of Dover, following a shots fired complaint that occurred early Sunday morning. The investigation began at 1:17 a.m., when Dover Police responded to a shots-fired complaint in the 100 block of West Loockerman Street Dover. Officers responded and were able to determine that Simpson discharged a firearm in front of a crowd and left the area in a vehicle. Officers determined that Simpson fled to an apartment in the 400 block of South New Street. Officers were able to take Simpson into custody without incident, and recovered a firearm, believed to be used in this incident. It was also determined that the firearm was reported stolen.

Simpson was transported to the Dover Police Department where he was processed and arraigned.

Simpson was committed to SCI on $24,650 secured bail on the following charges:
-Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
-Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Receiving Stolen Firearm
-Possession of a Firearm While Intoxicated
-Disorderly Conduct
-Discharging a Firearm within City Limits

Simpson is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Kenneth Collins, 48, of Dover, following a shooting that resulted in the death of a 59-year-old male of Dover. The investigation began at 5:11 p.m. Thursday, when Dover Police were called to an apartment in the unit block of Courtside Drive for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, Officers located the 59-year-old male who had sustained a gun shot wound to his upper body. Officer and EMS provided life saving measures and the victim was transported to Bayhealth Kent Campus. Sadly, the victim died as a result of his injuries at the hospital. The victims name is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.

The ensuing investigation revealed that Collins and the victim were inside of the apartment and Collins was handling a gun in a negligent manner, which caused the gun to discharge, striking the victim. Collins was arrested on scene without incident and transported to the Dover Police Department. Officers conducted a search warrant at the residence and located a 9mm handgun and a .380 handgun. Collins is prohibited from possessing any firearms as a result of a previous felony conviction.

Collins was committed to SCI on $80,000 cash bail on the following charges:
-Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
-Possession of a firearm/ammunition by Person Prohibited (4x)
-Criminally Negligent Homicide

Collins is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Monday afternoon. The investigation began at 12:43 p.m., when Dover Police received a call for a shooting in the 300 Block of Cold Spring Place Road. Officers responded and found a vehicle had been damaged as a result of the shooting. The ensuing investigation revealed that a victim was driving in the area of Cold Spring Place when the shooting occurred and his vehicle was struck. Thankfully, he was not injured.

There are no leads to release at this time.

The Dover Police Department has issued a Gold Alert for Jasmine Boggs, 32, of Dover. Boggs was last seen leaving the Dover Police Department on November 9th at 10:00 p.m.. At the time, she was wearing a red jacket, jeans and slippers. Attempts to contact her have been unsuccessful and there is a concern for her safety. Boggs is described as a black female, 5’3″ and 170 pounds.

The Dover Police Department has issued a Gold Alert for Taylor Durant, 15, of Dover. Durant was last seen in the area of 1300 South Farmview Drive Dover, DE at 7:00 a.m. Monday. At the time, she was wearing a pink coat, blue distressed jeans, brown Uggs, a grey/white hoodie, and a black head band. Attempts to contact her have been unsuccessful and there is a concern for her safety. Durant is described as a black female, 5’6″ and 120 pounds.
